    I’m just trying to *teach* but this annoying blue button feels like it just gets in the way. Gemini was trying to auto-complete all of my code examples. Like a student who calls out the answer so no one gets to think about the question. (and sometimes it’s wrong)

    Happily in “settings” you can turn all of the AI off.

    But the blue button— it is still there. This really feels desperate.

      Happily in “settings” you can turn all of the AI off.

      @futurebird I uninstalled notepad because they put a Copilot button in it. I've never uninstalled notepad before. Ever.

        @futurebird same in google workspace or in gmail... they really try to shove us Gemini everywhere, every time for everything all at once...

            @futurebird I really wonder if this is blatant marketing taking over UI/UX to make you miss-click it and claim usage or if there is a secret master plan like having the button "on" allows them to consume all data everywhere.

            Thinking a sec about it: both options are dumb on so many levels...
