In 3 days nearly the entire Bluesky team doubled, tripled, quadrupled down on the "WAFFLES" thing in response to upset users, and now Jesse Singal etc are using it as a Nazi slur against trans people https://bsky.app/profile/nogoodwyfe.bsky.social/post...I've been hearing a lot of disappointing, but not exactly shocking things about what's going on over there.
Moderation is hard. And that's for a server with a few 100 people who mostly agree on the Big Things.
Moderating a "platform" kind of means having a whole process, and not commenting on things like this. It's really unprofessional.
