      I asked some students last year if they wanted a bit of college money to throw an Oscar watch party for the dorm. It was like suggesting we all churn our own butter or something.

          It's an artsy dorm with lots of musicians and theatre kids, so I didn't think the suggestion was so far out there. Wrong again, middle aged dad...

          When did we all stop congregating for the Oscars? At some point during the Bush Jr. years?
