        @futurebird I would have doubted Darwin’s suggestion before the last U.S. presidential election. Now, contemplating the organized and cooperative behavior of ants, perhaps he was correct for a large portion of the U.S. human population.

            Ants would never pass a spending bill that let all the majors glut themselves on extra sugar emptying the nest just before winter and leaving a sizable portion of the colony undernourished and weak and exposing everyone to more pestilence. Probably. (I should check with them.)
