My husband works in PR.

My husband works in PR. He's really good at it because he is a person with whom it is impossible to stay angry. He even makes people who are angry at each other less angry just by being there. I don't know how he does this. So I shouldn't have been surprised when I asked him if PR people are worried about "AI taking their jobs."
I tried to make a good case "look it can write a press release instantly"
"That's the easy part of the job."
"What is the hard part?"
"People."

A lot of PR seems to be about sharing information in the right order to the right people. Keeping track of who gets the most exciting information first. Giving "off the record" hints to the right people. Making corrections to people who you know will lie before they even get the lie out in the first place.
And doing all of this without making any of these people angry, in fact it's worse, you need to do this and most of them should really like you, so they think twice about running hit.

Also PR seems to be about NOT saying things often. It can be annoying when I get a PR answer to a domestic question.
"Were you going to feed the cat?"
"I'm certain she will be fed and I'm really glad that you can take this over."
Amazing.
