Anyone interested in ~hexagonal Fibonacci LED tiles? Each tile would be unique, but could be combined together to form large displays of various shapes and sizes. These would be ~20cm tiles with ~200 SK9822 LEDs each.
Six rings would be 91 tiles, 2.2m wide, 18k pixels, and could draw up to 2.7kW. 😁

Here's an animated simulation of what the tiled Fibonacci18160 could look like. Imagine Shaq (a very tall professional basketball player) standing next to it and roughly the same height.

More progress on generating ~Infinite Fibonacci tiles. I'm now able to generate mostly wired KiCad schematic files, and KiCad PCB files with edge cut outline, mounting holes, and LEDs placed but not routed (yet?).

With the generated outlines exported to SVG I was able to test laser etched and cut diffusers for the first two tiles in this series. They're ~20cm (7.87in) with ~200 LEDs each, so a ring of seven tiles would be slightly larger than Fibonacci1024, with ~1,400 LEDs.

Ordered the first small batch of prototype Fibonacci Infinity Tile 0 LED PCBs!
Already noticed my first mistake: I forgot to label the six capacitive touch mounting holes and output headers. 🤦‍♂️

Good news: I received the Fibonacci Infinity Tile 0 LED PCBs!
Bad news: none of them work 😭

Mystery solved. There were six unconnected items in DRC that I somehow missed. 🤦

Bish bash b̶o̶s̶h̶ bodge x6. They're not pretty, but let's see if they work before cleaning them up.

Success! One down, five to go. Fibonacci Infinity Tile 0 next to a laser cut acrylic diffuser for Tile 1. I've fixed the unconnected traces in KiCad. Now to order a batch of Tile 1 PCBs!

I feel like I'm being hypnotized.
