What's your favorite FPS weapon?

The Cerebral Bore from Turok 3, Shadows of Oblivion. Honestly the whole weapon set was super fun for deathmatch. Too bad the recent remake excluded multiplayer entirely... I'm still very sour about it.wrote 8 days ago last edited byThe split screen multiplayer where one person would be a monkey while the others hunted it was so much fun. I can see the cerebral bore squirting monkey brains so clearly in my mind.

wrote 8 days ago last edited byI just got a classic FPS tattoo from my friend I used to play these games with. I got something from the original Doom. I've always wanted a mushroom tattoo though and I think it will be the mushroom powerup from Rise of the Triad.

If I could only pick one, it would probably be a simple shotgunwrote 8 days ago last edited byPistol grip pump from Soldier of the Fortune, or of course the super shotty from Doom.

The shink ray from Duke Nukem 3D was a delight to use in deathmatches. Shrink your opponent and squish 'em!wrote 8 days ago last edited byThe "huntsman" bow and arrow for the sniper in TF2.

The shink ray from Duke Nukem 3D was a delight to use in deathmatches. Shrink your opponent and squish 'em!wrote 8 days ago last edited byProbably an unpopular opinion, but the Magnum in L4D2. For whatever reason, it's the most satisfying gun I've used in any game - the weight, action, recoil and sound all come together in a perfect package.

The magnum in Black Mesa is also pretty great, and probably based on the same feel.

I definitely read that as Turok Tutuwrote 8 days ago last edited byThat’s Turok 4

The sub-machine gun with grenade launcher in Half Life. such a vital tool.wrote 8 days ago last edited byMP5 I think. All the weapons in half life were very satisfying to use.

The shink ray from Duke Nukem 3D was a delight to use in deathmatches. Shrink your opponent and squish 'em!wrote 8 days ago last edited byStuff that makes enemies explode in 1 hit, like bfg10k or the sniper ray in quake 3. As for more absurd things, armed and dangerous had shark guns, reverse gravity gun and others

Railgun, Quake II. Rocket launcher, Quake III ASMD, Unreal/Unreal Tournament Any good stake weapons (Painkiller, FEAR?).wrote 8 days ago last edited byDamn I remember crouching on painkiller so I could stake enemies to the ceiling

Thanks for resurrecting a forgotten piece of my Steam library, kind stranger!

The shink ray from Duke Nukem 3D was a delight to use in deathmatches. Shrink your opponent and squish 'em!wrote 8 days ago last edited byThe [Seeker from Singularity](https://youtu.be/LDbst2pH4pA?t=921) is greatly under appreciated like the whole. It fires a steerable bullet and slows time down while doing so. BTW, any smart asses that want to go "Well Ackchyually" that the gun shoots the whole bullet with the casing, it's based on [gyrojet guns](https://www.rockislandauction.com/riac-blog/the-gyrojet-pistol).

wrote 8 days ago last edited byYesssss. I also loved the pistol in that game. It was one of the first games i came across where the pistol was just as deadly (in the right hands) as most anything else you could get. Side note, why the fuck don't we have games with destructible environments anymore? I know BF4 has it, but the only other FPS I can think of that did it as well as red faction was 'Black' in 2006.

Flak cannon from unreal tournament 2004. Having a shotgun and a long range AOE explosive round was just too much fun.wrote 8 days ago last edited byFlak cannon on original UT was better, by my opinion.

The shink ray from Duke Nukem 3D was a delight to use in deathmatches. Shrink your opponent and squish 'em!wrote 8 days ago last edited byI hacked the Super Shotgun in Quake II to autorepeat quickly and take clips up to 999 large instead of 20 at a time. Gibs the Makron in about five seconds. (No not that French geezer.) Edit: oh yeah, I did the same with the rocket launcher too. I'm not sure which of those two is my favourite.
