    I had a weird experience today.

    I was paying for my car’s repair and the young woman cashier had on heart-shaped, rainbow flag earrings. 🏳️‍🌈

    I commented that I liked them, and she showed me her matching ring and said, Happy Pride!”

    Nobody has ever said that to me, and I was caught off guard. I think I said something super-lame like, “you, too!” and I can’t stop thinking about the interaction.

    I missed a chance to say to this person that I completely support #LBGTQIA 🏳️‍🌈 and #Trans 🏳️‍⚧️ people… There’s a chance I offended or disappointed them with a lukewarm (at best) response. I thought about it all the way home and almost called the cashier’s office, but then chickened out. I’m not even sure what I would’ve said.

    I wish I wasn’t such a dumbass.

      @scottwilson

      You are almost certainly over-thinking this. But you have to know this right?

      Honestly it's a win if a person doesn't screw up their face like they sucked a lemon. "you too" is great. Even a confused one.
