The trans person, who isn't confirmed to be his partner, chatted with him on discord and was disturbed enough to go to the police about it.
This is a nice way to thank them for doing the responsible thing about a possible murderer.

Maybe if there were more trans people in his life this wouldn't have happened.
(I can do it too. If that is what we are doing now.)
