If you target the people who had to overcome overwhelming skepticism in their ability to do the job just to be seen as equal you’ll remove your most competent and skilled people. They aren’t there because anyone liked them, no, they are there in spite of that; because they can do the work. They get it done. This will leave a a lot of coasting failsons suddenly in a position to find out how just difficult their jobs actually are.
