I'm stunned!

I'm stunned! In this short political ad Zohran asks for people to stop sending money and please come help with the door knocking and the chit chatting needed to really win an election.
I don't really know if I believe him? But, that is because he is a politician. And my trust has been totally destroyed! However, I'm delighted he's saying it, and if it's true?
Woah. Seriously. This is what I'm always wishing they would do.

Banger of a political advertisement.
It's not just an ad, though, he needs to stick to this and make it real. I'll be watching and I'm a meanie about this kind of thing. Because it's kind of the root of all of the other things that keep being broken.
I also think it will be a hard thing to do. And if he does it? Worth cheering for.

One of the most common things the very few people I know who voted for Trump in 2016 have cited as their reason was that goofy promise he made to take a salary of "just one dollar"
To me this said Trump was going to be getting paid a lot more than the quarter of million we pay the president in OTHER ways, but it was really meaningful to a lot of people.
I like this better since it is more plausible. There is an upper limit to what spending can do over people power.

But, normally if a candidate "goes viral" and gets national attention they just keep collecting money all that they can.
In the best case they use it to help other members of their party... often it just ends up ... gone, one way or another.
Enthusiastic volunteers are priceless. A single motivated person can pull more votes than thousands spent on commercials.
But you can't buy a new car with an enthusiastic volunteer.
