    What do you call the leafy vegetable that looks like a Radicchio but is shaped like an endive?

    Our CSA box had one and this thing is awesome but I don't know how to call it.

    UPDATE: it's just a long Radicchio I didn't know they could be long like this.

      no it's red like a radicchio and it's more like lettuce than cabbage.

          @futurebird I think that might just be a variant of radicchio? Are you talking about the narrow kind of shape, not curly endive?

              kohlrabi is "vegetable sputnik" not endive shaped.

                I thought that radicchio had to be round. I think that is all it is.

                  @futurebird I have no idea what either a radicchio or an endive is, so ... try calling it Brian and see if it responds?

                    @DrHyde

                    A radicchio is a small fancy red lettuce head. Very cute. endives are pointy lettuce and very pale.

                      @futurebird

                      To the best of my understanding, if it's a vegetable that comes from the grocery store, it's either a nightshade or a brassica.

                      Hope this helps. 😁

                        That's the thing, it's NOT from a store.
