So kind of like Drunk History but with muppet dialogue instead of slurred speech? If so, I'm sold.

Watch it? Hell, I'd crowdfund it if it wasn't for the fact that Muppets are a Disney property. The House of the Mouse has more than enough cash to make this work. FWIW, this format would work with a bunch of awkward teens at the game table. You could also go the other way and re-release "Honor among Thieves" by constantly cutting away to the game table with hilarious die-rolls and the rest. Think: "Of Dice and Men", or "Dorkness Rising".

An entire movie with half being lip synced live action sounds awful to make. That's a lot of lip syncing. But I'm sure there's a bunch of tools and talent out there that could make this happen. And it'd be a fantastic movie.

I'd watch that. Maybe add another level of innuendo and add Jack Black, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Heart to the cast.

I would also watch the most recent D&D movie with scenes of the Muppets playing the game spliced into it.

I kinda like the idea of the players constantly antagonizing the DM. Kermit could pull it off but I think he needs to be a player hero to pull off the script. My dark horse Muppet DM pick is Sam the Eagle
