Shouldn't porn games be preferred to actual porn? Less risk of women being sexually exploited when making software? They don't actually care about that. Stop humoring their excuses. They're just prudes.

The advertisers and payment processors need everything to be Family Friendly though their definitions of family and friendly are absolutely fucked. But since they're in charge of the Internet now, no one is allowed to be an adult. TikTokers say things like "unalive" and "seggs" because they know death and sex are too adult for online. Online is for idiot babies only now because they're easier to market to. nickyflowers: Oh I'm sorry you're a *trans* adult? Super ban. You are super banned for life. You have upset Visa's feelings. Mastercard is throwing up in the corner. How could you *do* this to Google Ads? :::

True. The group pressuring the payment companies were originally a christian group. They can indeed be very prude

I thought I read it was both, but either way it's good not to assume it's always American. The whole world is problematic at times.

They're a conservative Christian organization.

Their co-founder likes CutiesYeah it's important to note that being prudish is almost as much as a smoke screen as being feminist (*almost* I'm sure they are actually puritans as well); their actual goal is to shut down discussion of abuse against women and children. They want to end anything they might empower them to say no, or prompt the discussion that does so. Otherwise they wouldn't try to get once human pulled from steam for it's depiction of domestic abuse.

It's really awesome when the whole world has to stop using master / slave nomenclature because one country has ugly past.1) not just one country. 2) this is different because no one actually *made* anyone do that. That I know of, no company was going around threatening to cancel services if other companies didn't stop using the term, and certainly no one large and critical. A social pressure to change a word is different from a financial pressure to remove a product.
