I don't do fiction very much but I was running through one of those "what if some kind of rusting fungus turned 1999 out of every 2000 people into mud and survivors were totally unscathed and tried to make sense of the world again" scenarios in my head.

But none of them have done stories like that exactly the way that you would and that's why you should write it.
