Not All Subscribers Will Be Hit By Xbox Game Pass Price Increase

And the backpedaling begins. Don't believe them. I've been told I've been grandfathered into legacy pricing on multiple occasions by multiple companies only to have every single one of them force me off old pricing. This'll be no different. You might get a few months. If you're lucky, you'll get a year. But it'll go away eventually.

Ah the "wait don't cancel yet" gimmick here. Don't worry, you're grandfathered in, you'll get to keep your price. They said the same with Xbox Live Gold plans, and office subscriptions. They just wait a few months to a year until anger has died down and then they say you're paying the same as everyone else . Microsoft is patient. They'll get your money. They want you thinking that you got a deal so you'll stay within their ecosystem, and the longer you stay the less likely you are to leave. The only exit is to cancel, sooner than later.I don't read this as grandfathering in. I'm reading this as "oh shoot some countries don't let us just jack a price by 50% no notice so we legally need to provide a window"

> According to emails being sent out to Xbox Game Pass members within the European Union (EU) and other countries, the price increase from €18 to €27 will only be for new members and those who don’t have auto-renewal enabled.Another thing I never see mentioned is that the price increase is not nearly as bad for those on Premium instead of Ultimate, I.E. everyone who only uses it on PC and doesn't have an XBox. But I guess that's hard to explain to people who are in full rage mode.

But I guess that's hard to explain to people who are in full rage mode.My PC Game Pass subscription basically doubled (from 36BRL to 70BRL) in price and I'd get way less games than before, and no 1st day releases. Fuck that shit.
