Trump changes his mind, having already changed his mind after he'd changed his mind.
Given the uncertainty his policies have engendered, I reckon many customers and suppliers of US firms will be seeking alternatives, unable to rely on their American partners. Which of course will harm the long term prospects for the US economy.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/mar/06/trump-canada-mexico-tariff-delay-exemptions?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_OtherHe didn't change his mind. He failed. He tried to do something and failed.
He can't deliver on his promises. He isn't a boss. He's not in charge. He's always saying "I'm gonna, I'm gonna" but nothing he says ever happens.
Not that I'm disappointed by this it's a small mercy. But, for those who are starry eyed about his "leadership" I really think it's important to hammer in that he's in over his head and simply can't deliver.
He failed again.

What drives me nuts is that his acolytes will say from now on both that he did, in fact, institute an unprecedented tariff, that it happened and it was genius AND they will also say he never ever supported any such thing and stopped the wretched woke mob from causing it.
And this is why I can't follow this stuff too closely.
Although considering all of the wealthy people who stood to be hurt I didn't ever really think this would stick.
