Accidentally found the death record for my 3x-great grandfather Cruz Montaño, who died of "cerebral congestion" in January 1871 at ~50 years old in Miraflores, Baja California Sur,

First time I see his parents listed, Nicolas Montaño and Gertrudis Carrillo, whom I suspected to be related but had no proof.

Nicolas married again and his second wife was a third cousin to both him and the late Gertrudis. The marriage info shows both family trees.

My 3x-great grandmother, Abelina Cota (c. 1847-1930) married in 1865 to Diego Talamantes. At least eight kids reached adulthood, with the last surviving daughter, Jesús, dying at ~101 in 1985.

At ~4 mom took me to a clinic -don't remember why- but ended up in an office when a nurse gave me blank sheets of paper and asked me to either draw or write something. I could write by then.

But, my mom heard the nurse talking about me on the phone with someone out of town, so got worried and left. It was the 70s so parents had different concerns back then.

And no, I was not left behind.

My drawings are still atrocious but I can do crossword puzzles.
