Flee to a free country (no offense)
Also, that was not a dig at the Mets hitting as I was rooting for them
Padres, Mariners, Brewers and Guardians
Incidentally, teams that never won it all in our lifetimes.
ed. Padres, Reda, Yankees and Guardians for this round. Do like the Tigers but Cleveland came.back.

I knew my mom had a mysterious older half brother, but was surprised to learn just a few years ago that they only heard about him as adults when a family friend told them.
This week I finally found a document mentioning him as a witness in a death record. Turns out that in fact he was a school teacher in 1965 and was using both surnames. At least now I have a town to zoom in.
And thus the Charlotte Kirk legend was born.
Both are Maria Ysabel.
The latter one born 25 years after her oldest maternal sibling.
I would imagine there are wrong names in baptism records as the ones you can find in death records, but those would be harder to prove.
Last one that puzzled me, direct ancestors baptized girls with the same name and different birthdates eight years apart
Assumed the older had died, but she appears later on the records when she married. Younger one, nothing.
If you give me 500 PA in a full season, I'm pretty sure I can hit two hard groundouts to the catcher.
Long overshadowed by fútbol, baseball has improved the fan experience a lot in the last 10-20 years: streaming, tv, shops, ballparks. Really good to see that.
I was even surprised
had American-born players in the last WBC, but the team benefited from it.
's are fine, just need a team to boo. Potros de Tijuana folded in '89 so I have no winter team, but am partial to Aguilas de Mexicali (same state) and Yaquis de Obregón as I have family there.
Mostly petty grievances.
Late 2004. Their owner helped boot the Toros de Tijuana after their successful inagural season in the summer league. New owners tried to cash in but their greed didn't fare well.
I even boycotted his supermarket chain for a few years.
But historically they have been one of the best teams in the league and have had a really good squad recently.
Had they gone to the Serie del Caribe, I'd happily root for them.
Game 6 still tied at 6 after 11 innings.
No way I'm rooting for the Tomateros so the series might as well end today...or tomorrow morning if it takes that long.
