I almost got my dream #WorldSeries, but my childhood team - the #Brewers - couldn't make it back for the first time since 1982 to take on my now hometown team, the #BlueJays (who were last there in 1993).
I know who I'm cheering for and I suspect Bob Uecker would agree with me. Go Jays!

@sendtherunners You're right, of course - we can do a lot with the world outside the classroom to get students excited about studying the humanities. Still, it strikes me that the real issue is getting students in the door and that's something that needs addressing well before they get to university (and with so many more people than just the students themselves). Going to the ROM won't change that.
I'm sitting in a meeting on undergrad teaching across the campus. From my perspective as a history prof, it's wild listening to colleagues in the sciences complaing about over-enrolment. I mean, it's great that they have students, but JFC this is a problem I and other profs in the humanities would love to have.
