Trump changes his mind, having already changed his mind after he'd changed his mind.

Given the uncertainty his policies have engendered, I reckon many customers and suppliers of US firms will be seeking alternatives, unable to rely on their American partners. Which of course will harm the long term prospects for the US economy.

@futurebird @Em that's kind of what I was wondering - the evolutionary pressures on different parts of the nest. But I haven't thought it through (and I haven't thought hard about evolution and selection in a long while!).
