@futurebird I'm sad that I didn't have time to put my head in a tree while we were there recently, although we found a number of delightful parks.I kept my eyes peeled for ants but mostly saw an array of birds and the odd squirrel.I feel a little bad that the only actual insects I saw up close were a couple of disoriented roaches that apparently mistook our bathroom for the new restaurant downstairs -_-;

@rakoo Obviously not. And this isn't making it safe at all. NYC was attacked when I was here, I lived through that and now I think it's a little more likely to happen again. Not that this should be the moral driving force of what we do. It's not.

@futurebird I see this sort of science-fictional "long-termism" as just a simple "no u" response to people complaining that hypercapitalist policy is eating our seed corn.
