I thought it was really unlikely this was left wing violence because all of the violent death threats about this guy online were coming from the right.

Normal people don't know who Charlie Kirk is. -
Normal people don't know who Charlie Kirk is.Oh now he's "quiet" and "no one saw this coming"
I thought he was ultra-left antifa super-solider. What changed?

Normal people don't know who Charlie Kirk is.Don't try to make me like him.

Every year teachers all over the US rehearse with their classes what they must do if someone decides to shoot up the school. When I was a child we had fire drills and tornado drills. (Ohio)
There is a whole generation for whom “active shooter drills” are just as ordinary.

Every year teachers all over the US rehearse with their classes what they must do if someone decides to shoot up the school.Every year teachers all over the US rehearse with their classes what they must do if someone decides to shoot up the school. The whole country has to bend around to accommodate the profits of arms dealers and “freedom feelings” a small number of people ascribe to having no effective tracking and licensing of deadly weapons.
When checking, none of them are in “sight lines” of the windows or doors? I have never felt less free.

Normal people don't know who Charlie Kirk is.I could totally be wrong. We still have no idea who this guy was or what he was on about. To some degree it doesn't matter because living with these shootings all of the time is intolerable.
A right wing fan who felt alienated.
A left wing extremist fixated on Kirk for some reason.
A person who didn't like Kirk for personal or imagined reasons not related to politics.Anyone can buy a gun, it's so easy. It's even easy to buy one and no one knows that you have it.

Normal people don't know who Charlie Kirk is.Even the ADL had a file on the guy for violent rhetoric. This is the "I don't feel safe if the pilot flying the plane is black" guy. Very racist, anti semetic, anti Arab, hated immigrants, wanted women to be put back in a box. His death doesn't erase how he choose to live his life.
It's horrible that there are so many shootings in public places. None of us should have to put up with it. Especially school children. And now it seems they can't even catch this most recent shooter.

Ants have more personality than bees IMO.I was looking for some examples of stingless bee nest entrances to show you but instead I found another paper I need to read.
Stingless bees have very interesting nest entrances designs ... mostly to keep out ants at night.
But this paper is about ants and bees living together for some reason.

Ants have more personality than bees IMO.I've never seen a bee do anything sneaky.

@stuartlI think if the emu runs you will not be getting any emu.
They must get VERY close I'd imagine.

Tommy Mcrae's drawings are often viewed as an important window into Australian history..."Did that bush move, Harold?"
"No! Don't be silly!" -
Ants have more personality than bees IMO.Ants have more personality than bees IMO. Bees mostly interact with plants and each other, and this makes them more placid in some ways. Ants have conflicts and partners in crime, uneasy alliances, and all kinds of interactions with every other insect in their area and they are literally "up in" everyone's business constantly. Even the bees who are bewildered by this and end up building "ant proof*" entrances to their nests in many places.

Forget the aliens and angels and bigfoots. You were being chosen by The Great Ant

Tommy Mcrae's drawings are often viewed as an important window into Australian history...There is a kind of alternative sophistication to his art. It's a very refined visual style, instantly recognizable and evocative. But, drawing on this whole other set of visual conventions that aren't as common outside of Australia.
His drawings always have the feeling of something about to happen.
I especially love the detail in the plants.

Sketchbook of Aboriginal drawings by Tommy McRae
Drawing book containing 18 pen and ink sketches by Aborigine artist Tommy McRae, featuring scenes from Aboriginal life including hunting emu and kangaroo, the corroboree [ceremonial dance], fishing, duels, an ambush, wildlife scenes including iguana climbing trees, possum in a gum tree. With notes by WH Lang including an introduction: 'Drawings made by a Black fellow at Corowa, New South Wales, June 1886. His name I do not know. By the whites he goes by the name of Tommy Macrae...He is quite self-taught at drawing'. Lang comments on a great commotion one night at Corowa when McRae brought his wife to Lang, surrounded by a pack of dogs and children, after she had been bitten by a snake.

Forget the aliens and angels and bigfoots.I love those.

Forget the aliens and angels and bigfoots.I think sometimes these stories become more creepy and hard to categorize because we only have a few details, and they get retold with little to fill in the blanks making it grow stranger.
Maybe if you could talk to the original people who it happened to ... you could find out what really happened. But instead you have a few vivid details and no way to place them.
