Yup. The game is pretty overrated, imho, but its aesthetic was amazing. No lighting system, everything was hand-shaded with textures that really got the Megaman look. One of a kind style.

Well, it is net waste for the company at some point. AMD is supreme at CPU now, their lineup is awesome for years. But look at last few graphic card generations. When was the last time AMD really competed in enthusiast market? It's been falling short for quite some time so now they admitted it, cut r&d cost and just skipped high end while focusing on most selling segment. And from the reviews it looks like it paid of as 9070 looks like a hell of an upgrade! Don't get me wrong. Nv having no opponent is not a win, because they can and will charge even more for their top of the range. But I'm just saying this was a good decision *for AMD*.

You don't even need to have someone else running their character. Just say that the character is busy/drunk/sick whatever match their role-play. Or simply have an agreement with the PC that despite being *unrealistic* for the sake of the game, nobody will wonder why a character can be absent in the middle of space or a dungeon without any justification. I understand that in game with a big focus on party balance/tactic it may-be different but this kind of the game is the exception not hte norm

I'm sorry you had that experience. Personally I didn't think Dread's bosses or levels were significantly harder than classic entries in the series, and some are straight up cake-walks once you know the patterns. Regarding the instant death, it really didn't bother me. In the older games, you would find hazardous rooms that you couldn't progress through without a suit upgrade. The rooms with the E.M.M.I function the same way, except you get to interact with them instead of just turning around to explore elsewhere. Thet enhanced my time playing the game. I'm glad the game was generally well-received, but I guess it would be nice if they made an assist mode for people who just want the story, and the dopamine from killing a boss without having to try multiple times.

This small(ish) ball lakers team is kind of interesting, basically everyone on the court is 6'8 (sans Reaves). They don,t have any true bigs on the court but averaged out are probably one of the bigger teams.

I remember having a similar feeling just from the demo for the game, probably about 10 years after its release. Perhaps it just didn't age well.

@Szescstopni If the nest is active in winter that could be a bigger issue. You would need someone who has a big shop vac, and an apiarists suit. A nest that's managed to stay active in winter will boom in the spring. But, they can be removed without spraying. Sadly I don't know of any way to move them or I would obviously suggest it. That's more of a "there is a single queen on my window" move. Hoping they have cleared out and you'll just need to keep them from coming back.

I'm with you in principle: 99% of these big fan projects never end up finished or released and it's better not to set yourself up for disappointment. Rarely however, they do actually pull through. **Fallout: London** was a resounding success, and it does actually seem like Skyblivion will happen. Their progress is well documented and they're so close to the finish line now I can't see them not making it.

And that's why I had a problem with this from the start as Ultima 1 really wasn't that ground breaking compared to others but by 4 you have an unspoken karmic system that tracks level advancement that blew my mind as a kid once I realized that was a thing. Ultima absolutely pushed significant boundaries but I have a hard time saying it was more influential than tetris.
