The joycon connection isn’t the only use of magnets I believe. The steam deck has a bunch of magnets too and it’s the reason Valve didn’t include Hall effect sticks in that device. They did a bunch of field tests and found that they created more problems than they solved. Folks who’ve modded their ROG Ally with HES reported similar issues. It just seems like with the current tech they’re just not compatible with handheld consoles.

@futurebird It's beautiful They're gonna love it so much !When I was a teenager I found a 19th century edition of Victor Hugo's Toilers of the Sea at a flee market, a beautiful tall red leather-bound book including the author's illustrations. It was the same price as a new paperback edition of the novel and way more exhilarating to read (if less practical). Still one of the most cherished books in my personal bookshelves to this day.

@babelcarp @tea That 18th century pot is super interesting. The Brits had just started with tea so the early teaware was Chinese in style. But that changes over time, but also because the tea exported to Europe and the US tasted better with milk and sugar or else sugar and lemon since it just wasn't as subtile as high quality tea sold inside of China. So the brew-ware adds sugar and milk bowls and so on.

@cali Also a lot of the lessons I've developed are designed around getting the computer to do something the way that a person would to help them understand algorithms from math.For example factoring quadratics. If you know it factors you can just use the formula. Done. But, we write a program that generates the steps of the "AC Method" because it's just such a good way to learn about lists, and functions.
