Thank you for your candor. The little bits I've seen of it are almost putting an emphasis on the platformer part of the game. Very vertical, jump from one small platform to another small platform.... So what you've said tracks. I'm used to platformers being like... Super Mario world.

when i first tried it, the plan which they had just scrapped was to have the biomes and general features be static but the details be procedural. so the skin of each part of the map was changeable. this was after the seamoth but long before the cyclops, when all the upgrade parts were untextured safes and all the biomes had not been added yet. there was one corner of the map that was just flat. at that point they still had terraforming stuff. in fact that's how i first explored the big hollow trunk in the plate coral forest biome: i blew the top off. i don't remember if i went there right after the update that added the biome or had to wait for a month, because at some point in the development you couldn't even look at that part of the map without fps dropping down to fractions. i think they forgot to use instancing so each model used its own drawcall, and there are thousands of them in that area.

If I wanted that I'd just play Divinity 2.

Most liquid in a human is not water and a human is not an open container. Create Water cannot create water in midair, and I don't think Enlarge/Reduce can target a blob of liquid. If you did manage to do this (ie. Create Water into a tub above the enemy, enlarge/reduce it (assuming the water would enlarge too), and dump it on the enemy, you could probably rule it as the same effect as a Tidal Wave spell if you want it to work that way. You'd need a lot of water though.

I would guess that a culture built by &/or for winged people would have more strapless stuff. Or from the chest over the shoulders and tied up behind the neck. Or otherwise designed to not interfere and/or interact with the wings.

The camera in Dark Souls and Eldenring seems to be unable to handle large enemies. The designers love large and ultra large enemies. I suspect that the camera controls would go nuts on *non standard* aspect ratios (in the programmers view)...

@afeinman @futurebird I remember seeing soldiers like that in Europe (France, I think?) and thinking it was weird but getting used to it super fast. (French people, do you have soldiers with big rifles in public places or am I misremembering?)
