subnautica 1 was one of the best games i ever played. below zero was like a less good, James Cameron version of subnautica 1 that sorta forgot it was a survival craft game and focused more on the cinematic experience. subnautica 2....looks full blown James Cameron movie. it literally looks like the scenes underwater in Avatar 2. subnautica 1 was not great because it had aliens or a neat sci fi plot. those were neat extras. it was cool because the nature of the game itself required you to carve your OWN story through the way you chose to survive and progress. the world was your world, not a set piece for a stage play. subnautica 2, from what I've seen so far, looks to have completely lost what i first loved about the game. i know the original creator of the concept has long been gone from the development team, and it frankly bums me out how they've altered the original vision. I'm sure it'll be hugely successful, though. looks like something made for YouTubers more than someone who wants to pick up rocks for 3 hours off the sea floor.

Ever since I switched from text to voice I feel like my characters lost some of their... Verbosity. But last night I demoralised a minotaur (as my ascended animal swash-bard unicorn) by saying *"Oooh, a fellow hooved creature! ... Sorry about your appearance, fella."* And rolled a crit. And it felt awesome. Playing Swashbard is awesome.

Got a scroll of Prestidigitation as a joke item, but I saved it, and eventually found a use for it, allowing my character to avoid the use of a public bathhouse, which was great for him due to personal issues. The scroll became a running joke, everyone would always laugh about, "Oh, if we only had a Scroll of Prestidigitation!" whenever we fall into a sewer or something. So when he got his next cantrip, at level up, there was really only one choice

@davep @passthejoe It's fine, but I like the extension that just blots out all the results a bit better since having that extra string in every search can be disruptive at times.

yeah, it really depends on the group. Some people love learning new stuff. Some people are like absolutely phobic of it. Though I have a half-serious hypothesis: Some players are so bad at rules, the kind of player that asks every week "what do I roll to attack again?", that you could just change the system without telling them and they wouldn't notice and do any worse. Though that's less true for systems that require creative player buy-in like Fate. D&D in the "I move and attack" mode can be phoned in easier, I think.
